Welcome to Fly High California, a hang gliding school serving the Antelope Valley of California including Mojave, Tehachapi, Palmdale, Lancaster, California City, and Ridgecrest. Our purpose is to foster a community of pilots and friends that love the thrill and beauty of the only form of birdlike flight available to humans: hang gliding.
Why hang glide? There are as many answers as there are pilots, but most people are drawn to the sport because it is the only way to live out those flying dreams that we all had when we were kids. When you dreamt of flying as a kid, did your dreams include a cockpit, a chair, a seat belt, a roaring engine, and talking to air traffic control? Or did your dreams include wind in your hair and a completely unobsructed view of the world around you, just like Superman? If that sounds good to you, then stop imagining and start flying.
Our goal at Fly High California is to make it easy for you to live out those dreams. We provide training and encouragement for you to learn how to fly. Once you are a rated pilot, we hope that you'll enjoy the community of pilots that were drawn to the sport for the same reasons you might be; fun, challenge, and beauty.
